Who can rent a car?
To rent a car in the United Kingdom, please bring the following documents: your national driving licence (even if you have an international licence), an identity document and, for residents of the United Kingdom, a proof of residence of less than 3 months.
The minimum age for renting a car is 21 years old. A maximum age of 75 years is also in force in Northern Ireland. Young drivers who wish to book a car rental in the United Kingdom must comply with age and licensing restrictions for certain categories of vehicles. If you are under 25 years of age, you will have to pay a young driver supplement.
If you wish to add a second driver, he/she must hold a valid driver’s license and have his/her name mentioned on the rental contract, otherwise all coverage’s will lose their validity.
